Payment methods
All services offered incur a fee. I accept a range of payment options — making care more accessible.
Private paying
If you do not qualify for Medicare rebates or NDIS, you are welcome as a private client. You can also seek rebates through private health insurance where applicable. Short and flexible session lengths (30 and 50 minutes) mean you can choose the option that best fits your needs and funding arrangements.
Medicare - Mental health care plan
You can claim Allied Health rebates using a GP referral for a Mental Health Care Plan. Rebates are available for eligible clients per calendar year. This pathway supports both 30-min and 50-min sessions. Clients are responsible for obtaining the referral and claiming rebates through Medicare.
NDIS funding
I accept NDIS funding for eligible participants. Services can be provided under your plan via telehealth or home visit. I can work with plan-managed or self-managed NDIS participants.
Accessible care
I believe quality mental health care should be accessible to everyone. If you hold a concession card or are experiencing financial pressure, please feel welcome to reach out. I’m happy to discuss bulk-billing or reduced-fee options where possible, and we can talk together about what support might be available to you.
Mental Health Care Plans (MHCP)
What is a MHCP?
A Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) is a plan created by your GP to support your mental health. It allows you to access Medicare-rebated sessions with eligible mental health providers, including mental health-endorsed occupational therapists.
With a MHCP, you may be able to receive rebates for up to 10 sessions per calendar year (this is reviewed partway through the year).
What do I need to get a MHCP?
To obtain a MHCP, you’ll need to book a longer appointment with your GP (often 30–40 minutes). During this appointment, your GP will:
-
Talk with you about how you’ve been feeling
-
Ask about your mental health history and current supports
-
Discuss how your wellbeing is affecting daily life, work, relationships, or parenting
-
Explore what kind of support might be helpful for you
This is a collaborative and supportive conversation — there’s no “right” or “wrong” way to present.
What information is included in a MHCP?
Your GP will usually include:
-
A brief summary of your mental health concerns
-
Relevant medical history (if applicable)
-
Any current medications
-
Your goals for therapy
-
Referral details for your chosen mental health provider
Once completed, your GP can send the plan and referral directly, or provide you with a copy.
Do I need a review?
Yes. After your first sessions, your GP will usually complete a review before additional rebated sessions can be accessed. This is a brief check-in to see how things are going and whether ongoing support is helpful.

National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
What is the NDIS?
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) provides funding for people with a permanent and significant disability to access supports that help with everyday life, wellbeing, and participation. For some people, this includes support for psychosocial disability related to mental health.
If you have NDIS funding, you may be able to use it to access occupational therapy supports, including mental health and functional support.
What do I need to use my NDIS funding?
To use your NDIS funding for services, you’ll need:
-
An active NDIS plan
-
Funding that includes Capacity Building – Improved Daily Living (this is the usual category for occupational therapy)
-
A plan that is either self-managed or plan-managed
What information do I need to provide?
Before we begin, I’ll usually need:
-
Your NDIS number
-
Your date of birth
-
A copy of your current NDIS plan (or relevant pages showing funding type and dates)
-
Your plan management details (if applicable), including your plan manager’s contact details
-
Any goals from your plan that you’d like support with
This helps ensure services align with your plan goals and are billed correctly.
What can NDIS occupational therapy support with?
NDIS-funded mental health OT support may include help with:
-
Daily routines and life skills
-
Emotional regulation and coping strategies
-
Building structure, motivation, and participation in daily life
-
Parenting, relationships, or role transitions
-
Capacity building to support independence and wellbeing
